2nd Macau Lantern Festival

Illumination is one of the signs of Macao which plays an important role to brighten up the city at night. The abundant quantity and rich local characteristics of illuminations emblazons an exclusive “Macao Impression” in the heart of tourists.

Taking the festive season, Chiii Design, under the organization of Macao International Brand Enterprise Commercial Assocation and the support of Macao Government Tourism Office, showcases the unique style of Macao blending the Chinese and Portuguese culture by an exhibition of neon lights at Anim’Arte NAM VAN. These exhibits, together with the artistic rabbit lanterns at the Promenade of One Central Macau, embellish the moonlight and the festive atmosphere.

The design concept of the 2nd Macau Lantern Festival held at Anim’Arte NAM VAN is based on three elements: architecture in Macao, Mid-Autumn Festival, culture of Macao. The eight neon illuminations outlined in the theme of Mid-Autumn Festival, integrating the local landmarks and festival related patterns such as rabbit, moon cake, fruits, etc. certainly catch the eyes of residents and tourists.
